Growing Harrogate PR and media agency Montpellier Media Services has relocated to the Oakwood Park Business Centre near Ripley as the company plans for further expansion in 2012.

Since January, ten new clients have signed retained contracts with the company run by former journalists Steve and Rebecca Parsley. The partnership has also been appointed northern agents for London-based agency Lexis, which works with brands including Coca-Cola, Dove, Fanta, Harley Davison, DHL, William Hill and the Barclay’s Premier League.

As well as the relocation, the new business has helped to finance a rebrand and the imminent arrival of a new website. “So far, 2012 has been kind to us and the move is as much out of necessity as choice,” said Rebecca.

Montpellier was founded in 2006 by Rebecca, a former journalist with the Ackrill Media Group, when she was working on newsletters for global Fortune 500 company Akzo Nobel and helping with PR for the Yorkshire Agricultural Society. Steve, a former news editor with the Ackrill Media Group, head of news at Stray FM and reporter with the Northern Echo, joined as a partner in 2010 after six years as a press officer with Yorkshire Water.
