Knaresborough restaurant’s charity day

Knaresborough’s Hannah’s House cafe is to host a fundraising day for Macmillan Cancer Support at St James’ hospital.

Lawrence Lawford, restauraneur at Hannah’s House, has organised the event after spending time in St James’ hospital before being treated for cancer.

He was already organised for a new television to be donated to the ward, and now is dedicating his restaurant to raising money for one day.

On Thursday, September 27 from 9am-4pm he will be serving teas and coffees with a scone, toasted tea cake and piece of cake in return for a donation, and there will also be a raffle.
