National electrical wholesaler Edmundson Electrical has leased over 3,000 sq ft, and Harrogate Autocentre will move from Ripon Road to lease 7,000 sq ft.

The site is owned by Betty and Ken Raw, of shop-fitting business GK Raw Harrogate Limited. Mr and Mrs Raw have invested a substantial sum in the 18-month redevelopment.

Mrs Raw said: “Having own-
ed the site for 40 years as a head-
quarters for our business we saw a fantastic opportunity to
invest in redeveloping the land for commercial purposes.

“Following the initial demolition of the old building we set about creating seven ultra-modern and efficient industrial units. We are absolutely delighted with the results.”

Shaun Lowry and Russell Burnett from LCF Law’s commercial property department advised on the development and lettings.

The deal was brokered by Dan Brumfitt, head of commercial property at FSS, who said: “Demand was prevalent for the site from the outset, such is the lack of Grade A Industrial units within the town. Consequently, we were able to pre-let the entire scheme.”
