Commercial gas specialist CNG has been placed ahead of energy giants Scottish Power and EDF Energy in a league table showing meter points installed and amount of gas supplied to the commercial sector.
Cornwall Energy’s Market Share Surveys of electricity and gas supply in Great Britain are an established market reference point, and Harrogate-based CNG features for the first time this year. The survey ranks CNG as supplying more units (Therms) and more meter points to businesses than Scottish Power and EDF Energy.
Managing director Jacqui Hall said: “CNG has been growing steadily for the last few years. Our increase in market share and appearance on this list is testament to the work we have put in to comprehensive sales provision and delivering the service customers want. Customers are increasingly seeking alternative providers outside the ‘Big Six’ and brand names as they recognise the competitive advantages of smaller companies like CNG.”
