Staff from ventilation manufacturer EnviroVent have celebrated the company’s 25th anniversary with a summer barbecue at Ripley Castle.
Since its inception, the Harrogate-based company which is one of the few fan producers still to manufacture in the UK, has solved condensation and mould problems in thousands of homes across the UK, helping it grow threefold over the last decade.
And despite the current economic uncertainty, the business continues to grow and create jobs, welcoming 33 new starters since January and has seen sales increase by 33 per cent this year compared to last.
The firm, which won the Best Large Company accolade at the Ackrill Media Group Business Awards earlier this year, has also made a substantial investment in the research and development of new products.
The festivities in Ripley began in the castle courtyard with a drinks reception which included a cocktail called ‘the Twenty-Fiver’, created especially for the occasion, followed by a barbecue and live music from local band, Mirage.
Addressing his 163 colleagues, managing director Nick Heaton said: “Our 25th anniversary year is a great opportunity not only to celebrate our past success but also to give a huge thanks to all of our staff who will be driving the company forward into the future.”
EnviroVent has continued to expand into overseas markets, seeing sustained growth in Australia, New Zealand and Europe. In addition, the company’s domestic division has gone from strength to strength, targeting the private consumer.
Mr Heaton added: “We are really proud to be creating jobs at a time when the construction industry still seems to be struggling. It’s a massive achievement from everyone at EnviroVent.”
