Charity accountancy specialists gain prestigious qualifications
THREE employees at a Harrogate accountancy firm are celebrating after gaining a prestigious professional qualification.
Robert Woolley, Adrian Rodaway and Sarah Wearing of HPH Chartered Accountants, which has offices in Harrogate and York, have been awarded the Diploma in Charity Accounting from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
The firm specialises in providing accounting services to the charity and not-for-profit sectors and the diploma acknowledges expertise and experience in charity accounting and finance at the highest level, being held by only 500 UK accountants.
Adrian Rodaway of HPH said: "We are absolutely thrilled to have been recognised in this way by the Institute of Chartered Accountants. Gaining these diplomas underpins our commitment to the charity sector and at the same time expands the expertise of the firm. We now hope to work with many more not-for-profit organisations in the future, as they can be completely confident that we have the right skills to service them."
Alex Bird, Chief Officer of Age Concern North Yorkshire, said: "The support we receive from HPH is always first class and these awards to their specialist team members are well-deserved.
"They have helped us with our financial accounting needs for a number of years, concentrating on adding value to what we do as a charity."
