Rabbit Hill Country Store, located in a former barn on the new Rabbit Hill development – just off the A1 near Marton-cum-Grafton – will be a one-stop-shop catering for the rural community, offering farm, equine, pet and gardening supplies.

The dog-friendly store will open six days a week, with late-night shopping on a Thursday.

Owners Katy Bielby and Glenn Brown have a strong background in the sector. Mr Brown has a extensive experience in agriculture, particularly with suckler cattle and sheep, while Ms Bielby has a degree in farm animal health graduate and is a Suitably Qualified Person (SQP) – an adviser who is entitled to prescribe certain veterinary medicines.

She said: “As North Yorkshire locals, we know how difficult it can be for people to find the products they need at a place that is convenient to them, so we can’t wait to open Rabbit Hill Country Store and Rural Supplies.

“We aim to offer a friendly and helpful service to the local community and we will listen to our customers and their needs to provide advice on what is suitable for them.”
