Art Work: the children from Bishop Thornton CE Primary School have had their art work made into Christmas cards to be sold to raise money for the resources in school.

Christmas Shopping Evening: on Wednesday, November 28 from 7-9pm the Bishop Thornton CE Primary School Parent Teacher Association would welcome you to join them for their Christmas Shopping Evening. With mince pie and mulled wine, also there will be a range of traders and Christmas stalls. This is a perfect opportunity to get some Christmas presents!

Walking: do you enjoy a morning or afternoon walk and don’t want go on your own, then why not contact Adrian Dixon on 01423 770116 or 07716187621e-mail adrian_dixon@hscail.co.uk who arranges local walks. The next’s walk is on Sunday, November 25 starting at 10am from The Station in Birstwith of 4.5miles, going along lanes, back roads and field paths of High Birstwith and Felliscliff returning to Birstwith. The afternoon walk from The Station at 1pm goes via field paths towards Burnt Yates and Shaw Mills before returning to The Station. You will have to make sure you wear the right footwear and clothing for the appropriate weather. If you bring your dogs along you must keep them under control.
