Secure Shopping: with Christmas coming please be careful with your shopping online. Do you satisfy yourself that the person or organisation you are buying from is trustworthy? If it is a site you’ve not used before things you can do include looking for a returns policy, telephone contact, and postal address. Assess the quality of the written English on the website, does it inspire you with confidence? Consider using the internet to find independent information about what you are buying and about the seller, eg use a search engine to find online reviews. When using online auctions like Ebay do not agree to complete deals outside the rules of the auction site. Know how to make a strong password. Finally, if it sounds too good to be true, it is probably not true! The “bargain” tempting you may turn out to be more trouble than it’s worth. Better to pay a bit more and buy from a source you have confidence in.
