A 61-year-old woman from Harrogate has jumped from a plane at 15,000 feet for charity.
Anne Jackson, an ambassador for Christian charity World Vision, took to the skies to raise money for children she sponsors in developing countries.
Mrs Jackson, who retired from her job as a nurse five years ago, said: “It was without doubt the worst eight minutes of my life, but the fear and trepidation was well worth it for such a good cause.”
The money raised by the sky dive will go to on of the children she sponsors, a girl named Debra who lives in a slum area of Kisumu in Kenya.
The skydive has raised over £1,100 so far.
