The race starts at 1.30pm at High Bridge over the River Nidd. Launched from the bridge, around 3,000 yellow plastic ducks will float down the river to the finishing line, adjacent to Marigolds Café on Waterside.

The first ten winning ducks will receive cash prizes with a first prize of £100. Tickets, priced £1. are on sale at the Cricket Club on Aspin Lane, Knaresborough or can be bought on the day.

In addition this year, there is a Corporate Duck Race with many local businesses buying tickets at £25 each. The winning duck will receive 12 bottles of Champagne.

The money raised from the event goes towards junior cricket coaching at the club and a large donation is made to Henshaws Society for Blind People.
