A WROUGHT iron replica of the Queen’s coronation crown on the Crown roundabout in Harrogate will be presented to the public on the first weekend of May if fundraisers can reach the target of £7,000.
Harrogate in Bloom’s plans will see the sculpture ready for the diamond jubilee celebrations and officially opened by the Lord Lieutenant of North Yorkshire, Lord Crathorne.
Harrogate in Bloom president Pam Grant said: “Our fundraising stands at £5,600 and we’ve just over £1,400 to go. It should be a great day.”
Donations can be sent as cheques to Harrogate in Bloom at 14 Woodlands Close, Harrogate, HG2 7AZ.
