A KNARESBOROUGH indie band has decided to dedicate the launch gig for their new CD to the Sadie Rose Clifford appeal.

The band Royalty 3 were to launch a CD on March 3 and had the Frazer theatre in Knaresbough booked for the launch but, on hearing of the Sadie Rose appeal, the band decided to donate all profits to this good cause

The band said: “Having followed the story of Sadie Rose in the Harrogate Advertiser and Knaresborough papers, on Stray FM and heard all the fantastic ways people are fundraising, the band felt we should contribute in some way.

“We have spoken with the charity Neuroblastoma. They and us would welcome the support of the generous people of Harrogate, Knaresbough and surrounding areas so we can raise a substantial amount for this charity which is supporting Sadie Rose.”

As there is a capacity restriction, the event is ticket only. The band expects to announce two or three guest acts in the run-up to the show.

The band, which is made up of three brothers, play their own material as well as covers from the 60s right up to today with the likes of Queen, T-Rex, The Beatles, Depeche Mode, OMD (orchestal Manouvres), Human League, Soft Cell, Kings of Leon, Coldplay, Kasabian and many more.

The three-piece are made up of Jon Lynch, 22, who plays bass guitar and adds some vocals. Will Lynch, 21, who is responsible for keyboards, electric guitar and lead vocals. Andy Lynch, 20, who is 6ft 7in tall and plays the drums.

Doors for the concert open at 7.30pm for an 8pm start.

Tickets costing £5 per ticket (no concessions) are availble by phoning 07810786967 or emailing christopherlynch@thinkpositive.co.uk

Tickets are also on sale at Steve Teggin Hairdressers on the High Street, Knaresborough and Kelly Teggin Hairdressers at Castlegate, Knaresborough.

There is a bar and a raffle and organisers would welcome any raffle prize donations.
