Classic rock n roll exhibition at 108 Fine Art
ROCK fans are in for a visual treat this weekend when a Harrogate gallery hosts an exhibition of classic album art - and more.
Some of the leading designers and photographers in rock history are featured in Music To My Eyes by Red HouseOriginals which is launched tonight, Friday at 7pm at 108 Fine Art at Crown Place in Harrogate.
The highlights include a 6ft x 4ft portrait of The Rolling Stones from the Art Kane Archive, Daniel Kramer's classic shot for Bob Dylan's Bringing It All Back Home album, Richard Evan's designs for Who's Missing and Who's Next which are countersigned by Pete Townshend and the artwork for Led Zeppelin 4 which is signed by Jimmy Page.
The free exhibition will also feature Sir Peter Blake's classic Sgt Pepper design (for me the ultimate piece of Beatles art) which is expected to sell out nationally in the next few weeks.
This limited edition silkscreen print, signed in pencil by Blake himself and fully endorsed by The Beatles' multimedia company - Apple Corps and is extremely limited in supply.
Presented by RedHouse Originals at 108 Fine Art, which is located near the Pump Room Museum, the exhibition will be launched with live music from one of the UK's most exciting bands Wicked Whispers with more surprises throughout the weekend from July 23-July 25.
There are also 100 free 'Golden Tickets' up for grabs from 108 Fine Art which will enable the holders special privileges for the duration of the exhibition.
