HAVE you always wanted to run a pub?
Well now’s your chance! All you need is £49,500, plus £38,300 per annum for the leasehold.
The pub you can buy, should you be of the pub-buying persuasion, is the Star and Garter in Kirkby Overblow.
It’s in a village with a “very affluent resident population with good levels of disposable income,” according to the seller’s description.
Presumably the challenge is to get the affluent people to dispose of their income in your pub.
We’d buy it ourselves, but we’ve been banned from Kirkby Overblow since 2004, when we stole All Saint’s church with a special crane and relocated it to Peterborough.
Here’s a review of the Star and Garter from the Yorkshire Evening Post back in 2010: click here.
