Scouts to run bed race
From Mike Addison. 1st Knaresborough Scouts.
THE SOS Save our Scouts campaign team have put on their running shoes in the guise of the “Hair Bear Bunch” and will be running in the Knaresborough Bed Race tomorrow.
We hope to raise lots of funds for the SOS campaign so the 1st Knaresborough Scouts can hopefully have enough money for a much-needed new roof at the Scout Hut on Wetherby Road before the winter sets in.
The team of Brian Clarke, Jamie Wilson, Kevin O'Connell, Alan Downton and Adrian Thompson plus a quick reserve (at time of writing not yet named) also aim to raise awareness of the need for some new leaders for the Group.
