Long-term care directory launched

A new directory has been launched to provide a single source of information and contacts for families considering long-term care in the Harrogate area.

The Silverleaf Directory brings together details of local care homes, domiciliary care providers, charities, estate agents and care fees advisers, as well as fixed-fee solicitors and other specialist services.

It has been developed by Sally Rollinson and Anthony Hinds of Cardale Financial Planning. Ms Rollinson, who is a chartered financial planner, and Mr Hinds, a director of the company, are both accredited by the Society of Later Life Advisers (SOLLA), and have 13 years’ experience in the sector.

Ms Rollinson said that Cardale Financial Planning had identified a lack of a central source of advice for people who need to consider long-term care either for themselves or a relative.

She added: “It’s in effect a directory where people and their families can find all the information they need when faced with the difficult issues of needing care in later life.

“It also provides a wealth of knowledge.”

and recognises many of the fears that a person and their family might have, whether it be just a simple matter of knowing which benefits a person is entitled, to complex care fees planning and advice.”
