Fun and games at Family Learning Day

From: Bryan Western, King James's School.

THE annual Family Learning day is taking place once again at King James’s School in Knaresborough.

The wonderfully exciting Knaresborough event is on Saturday, October 17 and already there are a number of new activities organised for the whole family to try out.

The day as always, is centred on fun activities for all ages and this year the doors open at 9.30am ready for the start of the sessions at 10am.

Because most of the sessions are run on more than one occasion, participants will be able to select a number of activities to try.

It is important to remember, however, that this is a popular event and activities do become full. Arriving before 10am will give you the chance of selecting your choices.

New activities include archery, belly dancing, singing in a choir, yoga, play rangers (den building and games), bridge designing and building as well as story telling.

All these, along with lots of activities that have become a traditional part of the weekend, will be on offer. There is also a French caf open all day.

Programmes will be available shortly from local shops and the school.

If there are any more tutors who would like to be involved in the fun day, please contact the organiser, Mr Bryan Western at the school on 01423 866061.
