Follifoot school’s gardening club wins award

Follifoot C of E Primary School’s gardening club has been awarded a Gold Award from the Harrogate & District Biodiversity Group.

The Gardening club was started in April by parents Maria Alvarez and Stef Hinchcliffe and is so popular that 23 of the school’s 43 students are members.

Maria said: “It is important for children to learn that hard work gets results, and they can see that in what they grow.”

The little gardeners have been so successful that they are now selling their own produce.
